Tsunami Rose Designs: Traveler's Notebook

Hi everyone! I am here today to share my design team project for Tsunami Rose Designs.
I decide instead of a typical junk journal I would created a ten pages traveler's notebook for my dori. I had a leftover file folder that I had used to make a dash board for my planner. I rounded the corners and folded in half to create a 4"x7 1/2" cover for my traveler's notebook.

I had leftover printables from the following kits from Tsunami Rose Designs: Tea Party Desserts, Small Mason Jars Collections 1, Decoupage Flowers Set #2 and Printable Ephemera Set # 8 - Vintage Childrens Photos which I used throughout the notebook.

Next I cut ten sheets of grid cardstock to fit the inside of the notebook and sewed to the inside cover.

In the center of the notebook I used one of the envelopes from the Tea Party Desserts as a pocket. Before adhering it together I punched the holes and stitched to the center and then glued together.

I used a variety of leftover scraps of cardstock, embellishments and trim to dress up the pages but tried to not over do it.

I added plenty of tuck spots throughout the notebook. Even though the mason jars are small I enlarged some for larger journaling spots. The Lush Soft tag is off of a pair of jeans I purchase and I thought it would be cute addition to the page.

The back side of the lush soft tag I fussy cut a bouquet of flowers and add tiny gems to the centers of each flower along with Stickles to the leaves for a glittery touch.

I adhered a small mason jar to the corner as a pocket and added several printables for tons of journaling opportunities.

I side view of the notebook not too chunky...just the right size. :-)

I've added it to my dori and now it is ready for me to add lists, notes and journaling to.

Be sure to hop over to the Tsunami Rose Designs etsy shop and pick up these printables or if you are looking for a something different there is several themes available and the best part they are only $2.50! Eileen Hull: Season's Greetings Gift Card Holder

Hi everyone! I am back with a quick gift card holder for this month's blog hop with DCWV and Eileen Hull! If you are like me and you give a lot of gift cards at Christmas but don't have them on hand or the wrong theme this House Gift Card Holder is the perfect solution.

I started by cutting two of the house dies from the DCWV Cranberry Christmas Collection. The lighter patterned cardstock I cut a part and adhered to the inside of the card (the cardstock that will be seen once the flip/door is open on the card....back wall and door). Next I glued the sides and once dry I inked the edges.

I added trim, Ric Rac and button to the roof of the house and tied gold metallic thread around the button. From the cut a parts in the same collection I use my circle punch to punch out the snowflake. I adhered the top portion of the circle to the card, added a Dew Drop and sequins. This will keep the flip/door closed. Also from the same cut a parts I added the season's greeting sentiment to the door and I adhered a dew drop and sequins to create a door knob.
This is a very easy card to create and you can knock out several in an hour!

Also I would like to submit this gift card holder for the following challenge:

Be sure to check out this past month's projects from the Inspiration Team. You can find the post HERE, HERE and HERE and DCWV HERE. As always if you have any questions please let me know.

Eileen Hull: Enjoy Treat Pocket

Hi everyone! Today I am sharing my project that I created for the Winter Wonderland Blog Hop! The inspiration team from Eileen Hull's and the DCWV design teams have teamed up this month to create some fun holiday projects!

I started with the Flower Pocket diecut which I cut it from matboard and two sheets of gold patterned cardstock from the Cranberry Christmas Collection from DCWV. I cut out and and put together according to the directions.

Next I cut out four of the smallest Pansy diecuts from the same Cranberry Christmas Collection and shaped  and adhered together.

I punched out an assortment of snowflakes and an Enjoy sentiment from the DCWV DIY Project Stack Gift Decor Collection.  I adhered these along with a bow I made from gold thread and miniature gold Christmas trims.

I added some sequins, Dew Drops and a button to dress up the flower, snowflake and tag.

I filled up the pocket with candy and now it is ready to give as a gift! How easy is that? As always if you have any questions please let me know.

Also I would let to submit this project for the following challenges:

Butterfly House and a Reindeer Card

Hi everyone! I wanted to hop on the blog and share a couple of projects I created over three years ago for a Stamper's Sampler magazine call. I mailed these off May of 2013 with the hopes of maybe they would be selected for the magazine. I figured after this amount of time it wasn't selected.
The first project was for the template challenge in the magazine which was butterflies. I started with Eileen Hull's House Gift Card Holder and cut out a house diecut and embossed with one of Tim Holtz's embossing folders (if I find the name of the folder I will update my blog...sorry three years has gone by you know :-( ). The butterfly template I printed off in several different sizes on copy paper, cut out, traced on cardstock, cut those out, stamped and adhered to the front of the house. I did add a pull out with the word "FLY" to the tab.

The second project is a 3"x6" Christmas card I created using Robin's Nest cardstock and Dew Drops. I so love the reindeer stamp I used!

Maybe there is still I chance it will be selected for a future Stamper's Sampler magazine? Who know? :-) But I wanted to share these with you. If you do have any questions about either one of these projects please let me know.

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Saturday is wonderful and enjoy creating!
