Lovely Butterfly Girl Mini Book

Hi everyone! I'm back today with a super quick and easy project using Eileen Hull's newest Tiny Book Diecut!

I started by applying Adhesive Sheets to the front and back of a piece of Chipboard, adding patterned cardstock to both sides before running through the Diecut Machine

I wrapped the spine with lace and added ric rac trim to both edges of the lace. I added a leftover oval diecut, from my stash, and a little vintage girl with a butterfly sticker that I placed on the back side of the girl to the cover. I adhered a piece of pom pom trim, a sentiment, metal piece, sloppy thread bow and heart gem to  finish the cover.

I cut a couple of sheets of accounting paper to fit the inside of the book. I punched holes in the spine of the paper and cover and sewed the pages together and added to the spine.

I covered the thread where I sewed the pages into the book with ribbon and ran the ribbon underneath  the decorations on the cover to create a closure.

Now how easy was that?!?! This little book is a great way to use up those little scraps of cardstock that you have laying around in your craft room. If you would like to see more creativity stop by Eileen Hull's blog to see what her Inspiration Team has been up to. You can find those posts HERE, HERE and HERE.

Simple Thanks Card

Hi everyone! I'm back with my second project of the month for Momenta! I wanted to create a quick and simple card that took less than 30 minutes to make so lets get started.

I started by placing the Nested Square Border Diecuts on top of a piece of Watercolor Paper and run through the Freestyle Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. Next I placed the square diecut into the corner of the embossing folder from the Thanks Floral Embossing and Diecuts and run through the diecut machine. I lightly inked over the embossed area and edges of the diecut.

I placed a scrap of green watercolor cardstock from the Watercolor 8"x8" Paper Pad and cut two vines diecuts out from the Christmas Tree Embossing Folder and Diecuts. I  also cut one flower from Thanks Floral Embossing and Diecuts using the same paper pad. I cut a portion off of each vine and shaped, along with the flower diecut, with a Stylus. I adhered the vines to the back of the flower along with a sequins and glossy dot to the center of the flower.

I added a bit of glue to the back of the flower and placed in the lower corner of the square diecut. Next I placed an Adhesive Sheet on the back of a scrap piece of cardstock from the Metallic Ink Paper Pad, placed the thanks diecut from the Thanks Floral Embossing and Diecuts on top of the cardstock and run through the diecut machine. I peeled the backing off of the thanks sentiment and placed on the square diecut.

I cut a piece of blue cardstock from the Watercolor 8"x8" Paper Pad and folded it 4"x5 1/2" to create the card base. I added a small strip of metallic cardstock to the card before adding foam pop dots to the back of the square diecut and placing on the front of the card. Very easy card! I would like to also add before wrapping up my post that this is my last Momenta post...for the time being...I hope to come back at a later date once I am finished with a few home projects. 😊

Love You Card

Hi everyone! Can you believe it is already August?!?!? I blinked and summer is almost over! 😳 I've been busy these last couple of months and really haven't had a chance to enjoy time in the pool like I normally do. Oh well, I'm getting ready to change that! 😎 While I am here I want to share a card I created for Momenta!

I had a bunch of leftover cardstock scraps from another project so I decided I would try and come up with something from what I had on hand and this is what I came up with. I started with a 4 1/4"x7 1/4" folded piece of cardstock from the Momenta Basic Paper Pad (retired).

I cut a piece of cardstock from the Watercolor Metallic Paper Pad to 3 1/2"x7 1/4" and adhered to the front of the card base. From the same paper pad I cut a Rectangle Diecut from stripped metallic cardstock and adhered to the card base.

Next I placed a 4" yellow polka dot Watercolor Doily and a scrap of cardstock that I cut a "v" in the end to create a banner onto the card.

I cut "love you" and the decorative heart diecuts from the Romance Pack Cutting Template from cardstock scraps from the Metallic Ink Paper Pad.

I had a scrap of an Intricate Border Diecut leftover that I added to the card along with "love you" sentiment and decorative heart diecuts. I added a fabric flower and leaf from my stash with sequin and gem to the center of the flower and gems to the decorative heart diecut to finish off my card.
