Mini Bird Junk Journal

Hi everyone! Has the weather started warming up where you live? Here for the most part we have had days in the 70's to upper 80's with everything in full bloom. I think we have skipped Spring and jump right on into Summer. 😎
I wanted to share my finished junk journal with you all. Do you remember I did a how to on how to stitch this journal? If not you can find that post HERE. Well, here is the finished project!

I used a variety of scraps of cardstock, stickers and bits and pieces I had laying around to create this little journal.

I even used a paperbag that held silverware in it from Chili's to add tags to.

The blurbs I cut from packaging and added Stickles for some interest and of course I have to always add a paper doily to any journal I create. 😊

I forgot to add that I sewed in a total of six papers and that is including the paperbag.

I love how chunky this little journal turned out!

I also did a short flip through video of the inside of the journal which I hope you enjoy! As always if you have any questions about this project please let me know.

Also I would like to submit this project for the following challenge:

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Wednesday is awesome and enjoy creating!

Tidbits Journal

Hi everyone! I wanted to share my latest journal I created using Eileen Hull's newest Journal Diecut! I absolutely LOVE this diecut! You can create a planner, mini scrapbook or in my case a glue book to keep my leftover tidbits in. 😊

I cut the cover from Leather Paper and put together according to the directions on the packaging.

I adhered patterned cardstock, doilies and lace to the cover. The Tim Holtz Paper doll I added a set of printable butterfly wings that I had leftover from another project and I inked a Bookplate Diecut with Beach ColorBox Blends, added a printed "tidbits" sentiment and Dew Drops to finish the cover.

I added eyelets to dress up the holes before running elastic trim through to hold store bought notebooks.

I sewed a button to the cover and used cording for the closure. Also as you can see I tried my hand at using a hand held sewing machine to add "sloppy" stitching to the cover. I was going to do more stitching but the sewing machine messed up. 😒

I added four notebooks that I had purchased to the journal and now it is ready for the leftover scraps that I seem to accumulate.

Be sure to hop over to Eileen Hull's blog for more journal inspiration from the team! You can find those posts HERE and HERE.

Also I would like to submit this project for the following challenge:

Doily Dori

Hi everyone! I am here to share a journal I created for Creativation/CHA for Eileen Hull's booth this past January. I am really pumped over this Journal Diecut which will be coming to stores sometime in May.

For this journal I cut the cover from felt and adhered together with Fabri-Tac adhesive. This is a great glue to use since it "grabs" and dries quickly.

On the cover I adhered a doily from my stash and a couple of felt flowers that I cut from the Stitchy Flowers and Leaf Diecuts and added a Dew Drop to the center of the flower.

I strung 3 MM elastic through the holes and tied off.

I cut down a couple of notebooks that I had picked up at the Target Dollar Spot so they would fit in the journal.

See how easy peasy this was to create! Now I can either use it as a planner or as an art journal. 😀

Be sure to hop by Eileen Hull's blog to see what the Inspiration Team has created! You can find the latest journal creations HERE. If you have any question about this journal please let me know.
Also I would like to submit this project for the following challenges:

Quilt Queen Shadowbox

Hi everyone! I am super excited to share that my little shadow box is featured over on Canvas Corp blog today! As you know I love creating with diecuts but they can a little expensive if not on sale or if you are lucky enough to find them on clearance. When I do purchase them I always try to think of other possible uses besides the obvious use the diecut is intended for and this is the case with the House Gift Card Holder Diecut. I had purchased these cute printables from Lisa's Altered Art on Etsy and I had wanted to use an image or two in some type of shadow box. Then I had the bright idea that I could use the House Gift Card Holder and the Make it 3D diecuts to make my own shadow box. For instructions and photos you can find the post HERE

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Monday is awesome and enjoy creating!

Creepy Haunted House Album was so fun to create! I cut several pages from various cardstock, book pages, etc and added all sorts of spooky embellishments. I also did a mini flip thru video to show how the inside turned out.

Welcome Baby house was created for a baby shower that I was invited to. I also used the Box, Square Diecut item # 658058 to create the walls of the house.

Beach Front House is, of course, and actual gift card holder and I used a metal clasp to keep the door closed.
