Save the Hooters!

Hi everyone! October is breast cancer awareness month. This card along with several other projects with a Think Pink 2015 are featured over at the Canvas Corp blog which you can check out HERE.
This card was created with a play on words but with a serious message. Breast cancer can affect anyone. With females it is the second leading cause of death and even though breast cancer is rare in men it is very important to know your facts and be checked yearly.
First I cut a piece of Grey and White Mini Dot Reverse cardstock and folded to create a 6"x6" card base. Next fussy cut an owl from the Birds and Bees on Ivory cardstock.

Cut a 3 1/2"x5 1/2" piece of Pink Lemonade Thickstock, emboss with a geometric design and lightly ink edges and over the raised design. Cut a scalloped rectangle from the Hot Pink and White Damask Reverse cardstock, cut a scallop edge from the Embossed Large Floral White Specialty paper and a 5/8"x6" banner from the Pink and Ivory Mini Dot Reverse cardstock. Once everything is cut adhere to the front of the card.

I printed the sentiment from the computer, cut to create a banner and adhered to the card. I pulled a strand of hot pink burlap and made a loop and tied off to create the breast cancer emblem and then finished with sequins and flat back pearls.

If you have any questions please let me know.
Thanks for stopping by, hope your Thursday is wonderful and enjoy creating!
