Welcome to the Christmas Card Swap Blog Hop

The best way to brighten a person's day is to send them a card and the holidays give everyone the perfect excuse to do that. When you add talent to the mix, you have the perfect hand made holiday card to brighten any day.

That is what this hop is about. We have gathered some of the most talented card makers around to bring holiday joy to each other while showing off their talents. Some of the
crafters know each other while others have met for this first time in the Christmas Card Swap group.

Today some of the these wonderful ladies will be showing the cards they made. We hope you will join us to see how talented these crafters are and to get inspiration and ideas for your own holiday cards.

Please begin your hopping at Lorby's World for she has a drawing with some special holiday bling and string to give one lucky winner. All the details on how to get qualified are on her blog.

The card I created was from scraps of cardstock that was going to be thrown away in the Print shop at were I work...gasp!!! They actually cut the scraps of light green cardstock to 6x6 size for me too which was super nice...one less thing I had to measure and cut myself. :-) Also I landed some scraps of white cardstock that was leftover from a print project and I also have friends and co-workers that save chipboard so this card is kinda a project of re-purposed finds and who doesn't love that when you are trying to stretch your dollar during this Christmas season???

I used paper from Paper Studio and textured cardstock too.

A close up of my card...I used The Robin's Nest Dew Drops on the snowflakes which I cut from Sizzix's Sizzlits Merry Details and the Bigz Snowflake dies. I used white cardstock and chipboard. I inked the large snowflake with Versa Magic Oasis Green Chalk. I let dry and then I sprayed both with Tattered Angels Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist.

For the inside of the card I cut a white piece of cardstock to fit and then stamped the sentiment from the Papertrey stamp collection. I inked the edges of the white cardstock and then adhered it to the inside of the card.

Be sure to check out the line up of talented ladies that are listed below. All you will have to do is click on each card artist's name and it will take you directly to their blog. Be sure to leave a comment and follow each blog too. :-)
