Singapore Love Art Journal Style

Hi everyone! I'm sharing my first double page spread from my diary I altered. I'm in a group over on Swap-bot were instead of sending your journal off for someone to alter they send you an envelope of, generally a theme, of scrapbook paper, images and bits and pieces of goodies. I received an envelope from Mag who lives in Singapore. How she had the envelope decorated was so much fun. I just couldn't throw it away so I used the stamps, custom form, deco tape and address label and created my page. I did use a few of the items she included and I used some of my own dot stickers and this is what I came up with.

I'm still working on the front cover of my journal. I feel it lacks something but once I do finish it I will share. :-)

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Wednesday is awesome and enjoy creating!!!

The Robin's Nest Masquerade Contest and Owl Mask Project

Hi everyone! I here to share a video...yes...I said video of a mask I created for the Robin Nest Masquerade Contest that is going on until November 15th. It took five tries before I got the video right. My cat Omega decided she wanted to be a part of the video...not once but twice (insert paws walking across the front of my project). At the time it wasn't funny but after playing those videos back I got a good chuckle.
Watch the video below for all the details on how you can win a gift certificate to the Robin's Nest Store.

Also here is the link to the owl mask and I hope you enjoyed the video. If you have any questions please let me know. Thanks for stopping by!!! I hope that this inspires you to create something fun and I hope your Monday be awesome!!!

Belle époque

Hi everyone! I'm back to share my project I created for the Robin's Nest using the Black and White Classified Collection which is 20% off this month over at the Robin's Nest shop

I found these little file folders at Target in the dollar spot aisle and, of course, I had to pick up a few. I figured I could use one for a coupon holder and have the other to keep scraps and bits together on the latest project I'm working on. Well, I decided I wanted to decorate the one I was going to keep my supplies in and this is what I came up with.

First I gessoed around all the outside edges and inside base twice and once dry I painted over what I gessoed with Sable Brown paint.

Next measure and cut the Black and White Glitter Border Swirl Cardstock to fit the file folder. Once cut, water down the Sable Brown paint and paint all pieces. Then wipe off the excess paint and let dry or blow dry to speed up the process.

First remove the stretchy cord from the flap. Place one of the cut pieces of Black and White Glitter Border Swirl Cardstock on top of the front flap and draw a hole on the backside of the cardstock and then punch a hole. Now adhere to the top of the flap. Cut four 10" pieces of seam binding. Take two pieces of the seam binding and knot together. Now work the seam binding through the hole of the flap.

Adhere the two small stripes of swirl cardstock to the folds on the folder and the last two pieces of seam binding to the backside of the folder.

Now adhere the swirl cardstock to the back and inside. Last add the lace along the creases/folds to give the folder a clean finished look.

The Eiffel Tower I cut from Black and Black Animal Cardstock and then embossed with Flourish embossing folder. Cut a clock from the Black and White Clock Cardstock, ink clock to give it a vintage look. Punch a Fleur from the Black Fleur Glittered White Cardstock and punch a hole in the center. Attach the game spinners with a brad and adhere to the top of the clock face. Now place and adhere Eiffel Tower, clock, flowers, Dew Drops and sprigs to the corner of flap.

Supplies Used:
Black and White Glitter Border Swirl Cardstock
Black and White Clock Cardstock
Black Fleur Glittered White Cardstock
Sunflower Dew Drops
Gesso
Mod Podge
Americana Sable Brown Acrylic Paint
Perfect Pearls Biscotti Mists
Tim Holtz Sizzix Fluer de Lis and Eiffel Tower Diecut
Cuttlebug Flourish Embossing Folder
Lace
Flowers
Seam Binding
Two game spinners and a brad

If you have any questions please let me know. Thanks for stopping by, hope your Sunday is wonderful and hope this inspires to create something fun!!!

Crafty Card Gallery: Spooky Cute Pumpkins

Hi everyone!!! I'm here to share two cards I created for our monthly challenge over at the Crafty Card Gallery. The theme for this month is pumpkins and this is the cards I came up with.
Both cards bases are cut from a 6"x6" piece of cardstock and then folded into a 3"x6" base for each card. The first is card is very easy to make. I used scraps of cardstock, buttons, Dew Drop, Ric Rac, and I used one of those $1 stamps that you can get at Michaels and stamped jack-o-lantern on a scrap of orange cardstock. Pretty simple huh? :-)

The next card I used Damask Black and White cardstock for the base of my card which I inked all edges of with Martha Stewart Stem Green Chalk Ink. I also used scraps of cardstock, buttons, Dew Drops, a doily that I glimmer misted with Tattered Angels Peach Delight and the 31 is cut from Sizzix Funky Brush dies. The vintage pumpkin image (I cut the image down) I got from Ephemera's Vintage Garden. There are five more Halloween images that are perfect for cards too.

If you have any questions about either card please let me know.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope your Friday is wonderful and enjoy creating!!!

Dear Diary

Hi everyone! I'm here to share a quick post with you. When I was on one of my cleaning sprees I found a little bitty diary that had belonged to my step-daughter, Brittany, when she was young. She had only written on three of the pages and that was it. Instead of throwing  it away I figured this might just make a fun little art journal with quotes, images and words.

In the following days, weeks, months and year. I'm going to share with you how I transformed this little diary into, what I hope, is a work of art.
Thanks for stopping by and hope your Wednesday is wonderful and enjoy creating!!!

Some People are...

Hi everyone! I'm back with a quick post. I want to share a card I created for a dear friend. The sentiment on the front of the card says it all about my friend Debbie. She is so  uplifting, sweet, caring and motivating.

I used cardstock as the base and the rest is scraps of scrapbook paper, part of a doily, sequins, Dew Drops and the stamp is from Stampabilities. I also inked all the edges of paper.

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Friday is wonderful and enjoy creating!!!

Poinsettia Mini Album

Hi everyone! I came across this mini red album that someone had given me a few years ago while I was searching for something else in my massive stash of scrapbook supplies I have. I thought this would make a cute Christmas mini. Well, I gathered scraps of Christmas cardstock, embellishments, stickers and fiber and this is what I came up with.

It's really hard to believe that in little over two months Christmas will be here! I hope this inspires you to create your own mini, hope your Thursday is wonderful and enjoy creating!!!
