Eileen Hull: Peaches and Cream Felt Planner Journal

Hi everyone! I'm back again with another project using Eileen Hull's Wrapped Journal Diecut but this time I made a planner out of it!

Before placing felt over the Wrapped Journal Diecut I placed the Movers and Shapers Floral Cutout Die inside the opening of the wrapped journal diecut  and cut out the journal. Then I used the Magnetic Platform and placed the Movers and Shapers Scallop Border Diecut and place the end of the wrapped journal over the scalloped die and cut.

Next I cut Tan Paper Leather to fit the inside of the journal and adhered with Fabri-Tac adhesive. This will make the journal sturdier.

Next I cut a piece of pleather to fit over the paper leather and adhered to the inside.

I forgot to add that before adhering the paper leather and pleather to the inside I adhered tulle behind the floral design. The buttons I threads and tied off on the backside and adhered to the center of each floral cutout.

I adhered Pom Pom trim and lace to the outer inside edge of the journal.

I strung the spine with elastic cording and the closure I threaded elastic cording through the button and then sewed to the middle of the spine. I also added bits of lace, trim and ribbon to the spine.

I purchased a pack of three mini composition notebooks from the Dollar Tree and covered the front and back with cardstock.

I used an assortment of chipboard embellishments from my stash to decorate the covers.

I cut a file folder down and created a place to hold stitchy notes and washi tape samples.

I cut from white cardstock the Credit Card Sleeve Diecut, embossed with the Daisy Wreath Embossing Folder and lightly inked over the embossed images. I adhered the sleeve to the folder, cut a tag to fit the slot and wrapped washi tape around the tape in case I wanted to decorate the planner on the go.

I created a pen loop to hold an ink pen inside the planner. I cut flowers and a leaf from felt with the Stitchy Flowers and Leaf Diecuts and adhered together and added a gem to the center of the flower.

I wrapped a small piece of elastic around the pen I am going to use in my planner and cut. Next I adhered each side of the elastic on either side of the binder clip, adhere the felt flower to the side of the binder clip and clip to the folder or notebook and add the pen.

I used motivational saying on the covers of the notebooks.

As always if you have any questions about this planner please let me know. Also if you haven't had a chance to see what Eileen's Inspiration Team has been up to you can find those posts HERE, HERE and HERE.

Love You Valentine Card

Hi everyone! With Valentine's Day right around the corner I am here to share a 6"x6" card I created using Eileen Hull's newest diecut Book and Pages, Trinket Box and Frame  and some of her older diecuts Romance FlowerStitchy Flowers and Leaf and Spring Leaves dies.
I started by cutting and folding a piece of Coral and Ivory Big Rev Cardstock to create a 6"x6" base for my card.

I cut the frame from the Book and Pages, Trinket Box and Frame which is cut from Mat Board and embossed with the Sweet Blooms Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I spritzed with Rosey Simply Sheer Mist, let dry and lightly inked over the edges and embossing with an aloe chalk ink. I cut a floral patterned cardstock slightly larger than the oval on the frame and adhered to the base of the card before adding the frame close to the edge of the card. I also added three banners before adhering the frame down.

I cut out several flowers from the Stitchy Flowers and Leaf and Spring Leaves dies on white cardstock. On a glass tray I spritzed an assortment of Simply Sheer and Glimmer Mists: Soft PeachRosey, Classy Green, Silk and Moss (retired),added a little water and laid the flowers and leaves down to absorb the colors. Once I was happy with the results I removed and placed them on a tray to dry.

I shaped all the flowers and leaves and adhered to the corner of the card. I added a brad to the larger flower, a Dew Drop to the medium size one and the small flowers I added sequins and then I applied Stickles over each floral center.

I bunched up gold thread and gold ribbon and adhered under the flowers along with felt hearts from my stash and to pearlized needles.

I used the Love Notes stamp set from Crate Paper to stamp  the "love you valentine" sentiment on a piece of cardstock and added off center of the banner to finish off the card.

Doily Dori

Hi everyone! I am here to share a journal I created for Creativation/CHA for Eileen Hull's booth this past January. I am really pumped over this Journal Diecut which will be coming to stores sometime in May.

For this journal I cut the cover from felt and adhered together with Fabri-Tac adhesive. This is a great glue to use since it "grabs" and dries quickly.

On the cover I adhered a doily from my stash and a couple of felt flowers that I cut from the Stitchy Flowers and Leaf Diecuts and added a Dew Drop to the center of the flower.

I strung 3 MM elastic through the holes and tied off.

I cut down a couple of notebooks that I had picked up at the Target Dollar Spot so they would fit in the journal.

See how easy peasy this was to create! Now I can either use it as a planner or as an art journal. 😀

Eileen Hull: Journal Envelope Pocket

Hi there! I am back for the third day in a row with another project I created for Eileen Hull's booth at CHA/Creativation. This journal pocket I created for my foam-dori using the House/Pocket Stitchlits Diecuts

I cut four house/pocket diecuts from felt and "stacked" each diecuts end up on end (line up the holes) before stitching together because if you don't it will make it hard to stitch all four pieces of felt together. I stitched the sides together to create pockets and the flaps I stitched individually.  I used cross stitch thread and did a back stitch on all edges. You can Google or Bing back stitching if you are unsure how to do this stitch.

The bottom flaps I used Fabri-Tac to adhere it to the pocket and the top flaps I added a velcro dot to keep each pocket closed.

I also cut a couple of felt flowers diecuts from the Stitchy Flowers and Leaf Collection and adhered to the flaps of the pocket journal. Now there is a place to hold stickers and washi tape samples in the foam-dori journal. Be sure to stop by Eileen Hull's BLOG for the latest from her Inspiration Team and as always if you have any questions about this project please let me know.

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Wednesday is wonderful and enjoy creating!

Planner Tassels and Planner Clips

Hi everyone! I am back to share  a couple of quick and easy projects for your planner using Eileen Hull's newest diecuts from the Heartfelt Collection. I created these for Eileen's booth at CHA/Creativation.
For the planner tassel I cut a couple of flowers from felt using the Stitchy Flower and Leaf Diecuts and twelve 8 inch strips of ribbon and fiber. Next I gathered all the ribbon and fiber and ran it through a small metal ring (the ring I found in the jewelry section of Hobby Lobby), folded in half and made sure it was even before tying off with thread. I adhered the flowers together with a Dew Drop and then glued on top of the thread. I cut a Ball Chain down and ran through the metal ring and then attached to the planner.

For the planner clips I used Bird and Butterflies Diecuts and a variety of scraps of felt to cut the diecuts out. For both the bird and butterfly I adhered the pieces together and then glued to the top of a large paper clip. For the bird I added sequin, mini flower, dew drop and for the butterfly I added a scrap of lace, button, sequin and dew drop to finish both off.
All of these project took maybe an hour and that was only because I had to hunt for supplies so I would say you could knock several out if you are more organized than me. 😉
Be sure to hop over to Eileen's BLOG and see what the Inspiration Team is up to and as always if you have any questions please let me know.

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Monday is awesome and enjoy creating!

Eileen Hull: Mini Cheery Flower Cards

Hi everyone! I am here to share my Inspiration Team project for today. This months theme is cards using Eileen Hull's diecuts. I am always in need of little enclosure cards for gifts and these are some fun cards I came up with.

I started with the Spring Leaves and Heart & Soul Flower diecuts and cut six flowers and six leaves from felt.

Next I cut three Needle Book diecuts from Yellow and Ivory Mini Reserve Dot Cardstock and folded each one in half to create my card base.

Next I back stitched three of the leaves down the center. If you are unfamiliar with how to do  the back stitch you can google or bing to get the directions.

For each of the leaves placed another felt leaf on the backside blanket stitched them together. The blanket stitch directions can also be found on the internet.

For each of the cards I adhered the flowers and a leaf together.

I added a strip of patterned cardstock to the center of each card.

The center of each flower I glued a button and a mix of sequins, gems and Dew Drops to each.

There you have it! Some bright and cheery cards ready to be added to someone's package! Be sure to hop on over to Eileen Hull's blog to see what the Inspiration Team has created. As always if you have any questions about these cards please let me know.

Also I would like to submit these cards for the following challenge:
