Father's Day Mustache Container

Hi everyone! I am back again today with a quick and easy Father's Day project that I created using Blends 2 Inks, rubber stamp and a art screen! All you need is an empty container of your choice.

I started by cleaning a container inside and out. I used an empty M and M container that I have received around Christmas. I also remove the labels on the outside and I used a little Goo Be Gone to get the sticky residue off. I placed Watercolor Paper on top of the Rectangle Border Diecut and placed in between cutting plates and run through the Diecut Machine. I cut out two diecuts to cover the front and back. I placed the lid from the container on top of watercolor paper and traced with a pencil onto the watercolor paper. Next I placed the Disco Art Screen 1 on top of rectangle diecut and loaded an Art Dauber with Beach Blends 2 Ink and applied over the art screen. I loaded another art dauber with Uniform Blends 2 Ink and apply lightly over screen. I completed the same steps for other rectangle diecut and lid and I inked around the edges of both diecuts and circle with Hydrangea Blends 2 Ink

I adhered both diecuts to container and circle to the top of lid.

I inked the Mustaches Wood Stamp with Wicked Black Archival Dye Ink and stamped onto White Cardstock

I cut around the stamped image with a Paper Cutter  and inked an art dauber with Uniform Blends 2 Ink and ink edges of mustache tag.

I adhered the stamped image to the corner edge of the diecut that is on the container. I made a bow from red seam binding and adhered to the diecut and mustache tag. And last but not least I filled it with yummy snack bars and candy. As always if you have questions about this project please let me know.

Witch Candy Box

Hi everyone! Today I am here to share my Inspiration Team project this month for Eileen Hull. This month's theme is Halloween and Holidays and I decided to try and create a little witch from the Cookie Box diecut to hold candy in.

First I cut the cookie box from Mat Board and assembled according to directions.  I used black mat board which is no longer available from Sizzix but you can paint or cover with cardstock.

For the hat I cut from Purple Crackle Glitter Cardstock a Cone diecut ( and assembled) a Scalloped Circle and a 1 1/2"x4" piece of Halloween Stripe Glitter Cardstock (I used the lime green side of the cardstock) for the face.

I centered the cone in the middle of the scalloped circle die  and adhered to the scalloped circle. I cut a two inch wide piece of black tulle and tied around the cone to create a band. Next I cut out several Romance Flowers diecuts from Orange Crackle Glitter Cardstock and lightly wet, crinkled and let dry before putting together. I added a Dew Drop to the center of a few of the flowers.

I cut a Spring Leave diecut from the Moss Green Glitter Cardstock, lightly wet, shaped and let dry. I used the Twist and Style Craft Tool to create some "twigs" and then I adhered everything to the brim of the hat.

Next I cut several 1/4" strips of Black Bats Glitter Cardstock, crinkled and adhered to either side of the witch's face.

For the face I used white sequins, Men's Dew Drops, a green gem for the eyes and nose. The mouth I punched out a small scalloped circle and then used a circle to punch out a small section that looks like teeth.

There you have it my little witch candy holder. If you have any questions about this project please let me know.

For more inspiration be sure to hop on over to Eileen's blog and check out the other team members projects which can be found HERE and HERE.

Everything is Better in Flip Flops!

Hi everyone! I am here to share a quick project I created for Eileen Hull's Art with Heart Challenge which ends in a few hours...yeah I was at the last moment too the month before. ;-)
I used the retired Sizzix Flip Flops Card diecut, Cookie, Box diecut and Mat Board to create this fun little container for a friend that loves all things Summer, flip flops and beach related stuff.

The flip flop card I cut at the fold to create the top and bottom of the container and the cookie box "walls" I cut out one whole section and half of another which I used only three folds of that.

Here is a peak at the inside of the container. I used a variety of retired cardstock from My Mind's Eye and Creative Imaginations...I love the vibrate colors.

I finished off with a paper flower which I embellished with a button, gem, sequins and dew drops...my favor go to's. :-)
Now all I have to do is add a little goodie inside and this will be ready to give to my sweet friend.

If you have any questions please let me know.
Thanks for stopping by, hope your Monday is awesome and enjoy creating!
