Pastel December Daily Glue Book Journal

Hi everyone! I'm back today with my Inspiration Team project I created for Eileen Hull. Truth be told I started this December Daily in 2017. 😮 Let's face it no matter how hard I try I have never finished a December Daily. NEVER! I love looking at other peoples dailies and long to have one that has all the photos and documenting of my everyday life BUT in all honesty I don't do anything exciting. I decorate the tree, wrap presents and then I get with my family and open the presents...see nothing really exciting. So I turned this into a glue book that I have been working on for the last three years. What is a glue book? It is a journal/book that you glue whatever you want to into it...pretty simple huh? 😊

I started this December Daily by cutting the covers from a file folder using the Journal Diecut.

I extended and reinforced the spine with an extra piece of the file folder once I glued the covers together.

I decorated the cover with and assortment of Christmas cardstock, trims and embellishments. The snowman and snow woman is a printable that I sized up before printing, fussy cutting and adhering to the cover. I also glued the clasp to the inside of the cover and tied a piece of cording with a tassel on the end to use as a closure.

I covered the spine with lace, then punched holes through the lace and run the elastic cording through the holes and tied off inside. I also sewed a button to the spine to wrap the cording with tassel to.

For the inside of the journal/glue book I used blank journals that I had purchased in a package of six from Target. They are the perfect size other than I had to cut off the ends so they would fit.

I used a deer printable that I had received in a swap to decorate the cover of the journal along with pom pom trim. On the inside cover I created a double belly band to hold scraps that will eventually make its way into this book.

This is the perfect way to use scraps of cardstock and printables.

I covered these pages with my collection of Christmas washi tape.

I have so much Christmas Washi Tape that I had to make a flap to hold the extras.

The Happy Holidays sentiment is an envelope I cut down to create a side pocket to hold tags and printables. I added pieces of patterned cardstock and an embellishment underneath the postage stamp.

On the other side of the page is the envelope flap that I decorated.

On the inside of the flap I added more cardstock and a little sentiment I had cut from a piece of cardstock. On the page I created a diagonal pocket to hold Christmas tags I had pulled off of the presents I had received that were to cute to throw away.

I also added bits of wrapping paper from past presents to the pages as a collage. There you have it a peek of some of the inside pages of my not so December Daily/Glue Book. As always if you have questions please let me know.

Hope You have a Purr-fect Day Card

Hi everyone! I'm back today to share a quick card I created using cardstock scraps that I had laying around from other projects and a leftover printable from Lisa's Altered Art and you can find the printable HERE. The base of the card is 6 1/4"x4" folded piece of patterned cardstock.

I placed the bits and pieces of all the different patterned cardstocks and doily that I had and adhered to the card base. The girl with the cats was a leftover printable that I thought would be a "purr-fect" addiction to the card. 😆

I used a flower and leaf sprig diecut from the Flowers and Leaves Journaling Cards Diecuts and added to the card along with a sequin and gem to the center of the flower. I added loops of thread behind the girl and cat image. And I finished by printing a sentiment from my computer. As always if you have any questions about this project please let me know.

Give Thanks Tag

Hi everyone! I wanted to share a quick tag I created for Thanksgiving. I had a lot of bits and pieces laying around for this project and it only took about an hour for me to create...this generally not the case when I make something. 😁I alway have leftover inks when I am creating other project so I grab a blank tag and lay the tag in the mixture and put it off to the side and let dry. So I now have something for later on to use as my base for a project and it is such a time saver too.

I embossed the tag with the Gridlock Embossing Folder and lightly inked over the embossed area with Nutmeg Blends Ink. I added banners that I had cut from patterned cardstock and a couple of circle punches to the top of the tag. I found this little girl and turkey image on the internet and printed and fussy cut. I added pop dots to the back and placed off to the side of the center of the tag.

I printed the "Give Thanks" sentiment from the computer and "Celebrate" sentiment I cut from a piece of cardstock. I inked the edges of the sentiments before adhering them to the tag. I had a leftover leaf sprig I had stamped from the Thankful Stamp Set. I had inked the sprig with Clear Top Boss Embossing Pad and applied Copper Embossing Powder but for the past project I was working on I didn't like the way it looked so I didn't use it. But for the this project I thought it added a nice touch to the cording, flower and buttons that I added to the corner of the tag. I glued another button to the top of the tag and finished by added lace to the top of the tag.

I would like to submit this project for the following challenge:

Word Art Wednesday Anything Goes: Weeks #362-#363

As always thanks for stopping by and I hope your thanksgiving is wonderful and you get to spend it with people you love! Also enjoy creating!

Eileen Hull: A Little Boo Mini Album

Hi everyone! I'm back today sharing this little mini Halloween album I created for Eileen Hull's Inspiration Team!

I started by flattening and cutting a paper towel roll 5 1/2" in length.

Next I cut one side open and inked the outside and inside of the "spine" with the Purple Chalk Ink from the ColorBox Paintbox Mercantile Chalk.

I adhered Kraft Halloween Cardstock to the front and inside covers of the mini album.

I placed the Scalloped Border Diecut onto the Base Tray (retired) but you can use a Movers and Shapers Shuttle to hold the diecut in place. I placed the closed mini album cover on top of the Scalloped Border Diecut and ran through the diecutting machine.

I gather some scraps of Halloween cardstock from my stash and cut and folded to fit album.

I cut from the following diecuts: Bookplate, Hinges and Label, Bookmark, Tags and PocketCredit Card Sleeve and Tags and Banners and Pennants Diecuts tags, pockets and banners to decorate the pages and the doily. I also added printables and bits of patterned cardstock to the pockets too.

The other side of the pages I added stickers and a bat diecut from my stash.

The cover I adhered a diecut from my stash of extra cut outs.  The little girl I had printed out several of her in different sizes for a past project and I thought she would make a cute addition to the cover. I did cut around her arm so I could slip the jack-o-lateen diecut underneath it. I added googly eyes to the pumpkin and bits of thread. I cut one of the pennants off the banner diecut and created a little hat for the little girl image. I added a Bookplate Diecut with "BOO" stickers and two mini black gems to the bottom of the cover. I took a part a binder clip and added an Owl Charm, some fiber and clipped to the album cover and  finished off with sequin randomly placed.

I gathered all the pages and stitched inside the album cover.

I couldn't help myself  but I added more tags and embellishments to the pages.

I cut tags from the Credit Card Sleeve and Tags along with some bits of patterned cardstock, punched a hole in the top of each and put all together with a jack-o-lantern brad and then paperclip to the top of one of the pages. I'm now ready to add mini photos  and journaling of the grand babies.

Be sure to hop on over to hop on over to Eileen Hull's blog to see what the rest of the Inspiration Team has been up to! You can find the latest blog post HERE. As always if you have any questions please let me know.

I would also like to submit this project for the following challenges:
