Lucky Tag

Hi everyone and Happy Saint Patrick's Day! I want to share a quick tag I created. I started with the Tag and Bookplates die and cut a tag from a piece of Good Luck on Ivory cardstock.

The heart diecut is a retired diecut from Stampin' Up! and I use a scrap of cardstock for the heart. I inked around the edges of the tag and the heart in green ink. I adhered the heart and a strip of green foil wrapping paper to the tag.

I printed from the computer the lucky sentiment, cut it into the shape of a banner and glued it along with a shamrock I had received in a swap and some gold metallic thread to the corner of the tag. I finished off with an assortment of ribbon, Ric Rac, seam binding and bakers twine. There you have it!  Easy Peasy tag! If you have any questions about this project please let me know.

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Saint Patrick's Day is awesome and enjoy creating!

A Little Bit Planner Crazy

Hi everyone! I am back to share a quick post on these cuties I created for my planner. If you are planner nerd like me you are always searching for cute things to dress up your planner and if you are like me you don't have lots of money to buy everything you see so you have to get creative.

So after I received a planner clip in a monthly kit that I was subscribed to I looked it over and decided I could create my own. All I used was leftover bits and pieces of cardstock, Matboard, paperclips, Mini Freshed Brewed and Vintage Telephone and Typewriter Movers and Shapers Diecuts and this is what I came up with.

After cutting out all the images on Matboard I adhered a paperclip to the back of each one of them and let dry. Next,  I cut two of each image out from cardstock. I like to cover up the back so you don't see a big glob of glue. Plus it makes it look neater. :-)

I cut out more diecuts from cardstock which I fussy cut the indented images from the diecuts like the lids, bans, etc. which I ink and then glued to the diecuts.  Also I added a bit of lace to the dailer of the phone, mini flat back pearls for the keyboard of the typewriter and a mint green jewel to the coffee band. :-)

I so loved how these turned out and I have more ideas for planner paper clips that I will be creating and sharing in the near future. If you have any questions about these please let me know.
Thanks for stopping by, hope your Wednesday is awesome and enjoy creating!

Sizzix's New Product Share and Art with Heart Mini Easter Album

Hi everyone! Easter is right around the corner and I am sharing this little shaker mini album I created for this month's challenge over on Eileen Hull's blog using Paper Leather, Ink Sheets, Luggage Tag and the Rosebuds embossing folder from the Rosebuds and Seed Packet Set

You can find past inspiration teams projects HERE and HERE using the Paper Leather and Ink Sheets. Also check out these videos HERE and HERE which gives tips and ideas on how to use to use both of these products.
If you have checked out the links I provided you can see there are so many different things you can create with these!!!

For my project I cut out five of the luggage tags from Matboard and then cut each one apart at the fold.

I inked all edges of the diecuts with Picked Raspberry Distress Stain. From the packaging that the Luggage Tag came in I cut two pieces of plastic a little bit bigger than the"windows" of the diecut. I adhered to one side of two of the windows and put aside to let the glue dry very well since I don't want sequins and beads to get stuck to the edges.

I cut two of the "window" tags from the pink paper leather, a gold ink sheet and then embossed each one with the Rosebud embossing folder.

I also embossed both of the window inserts the same way and I used a hole punch and punched a hole in the top of each one.

I adhered four of the window tags together along one of the tags that I had glued the plastic to create a window. Once dry I added a variety of sequins, seed beads and a couple Spring like buttons and adhered the other tag with the plastic to create a shaker tag.

I adhered the paper leather to each side of the shaker tag.

I added flowers, button and pearl sprays to the front of the shaker tag.

I covered two of the tags with some gorgeous Karen Foster Easter cardstock and the inserts from the window tags I embellished with a bunny diecut that I had received in a swap. All I had to do was add a mini white pom pom for a tail to finish it off.

I tied all of the tags together with seam binding. I kept embellishments to a minimum since I plan on adding photos either from my Instax printer or from my phone. The two little dangly tags are from swaps too and I thought where a perfect addition. I love how the ink sheets made the paper leather have a "old and gilded" look which compliments the other elements in this mini.
Be sure to hop on over to Eileen's blog to see what the other inspiration team members are up to and if you have any questions about this project please let me know.

Canvas Corp: Chicks and Tea Cups

Hi everyone! I am here to share a project I created for Canvas Corp's Joy's of Spring Challenge. We were given the colors below to use as inspiration and asked to think about what would be our joys of Spring? Also we could not do a card or an Easter Egg as our project.

The Tea Cup was cut from the Pink and Ivory Dot Reverse Cardstock and put together according to the instructions that can be found HERE. I wadded up some tissue paper and adhered inside the teacup. This is what I use as a base to glue flowers, moss, etc onto. Also I added lace and flat back pearls to the base of the teacup.

I fussy cut from Spring Garden cardstock the little chicks and painted them with the following Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists: SunflowerItalian Sunset, Moss and Bittersweet. I spritzed each color into a separate bowl and watered down before painting onto the chicks.

Once dry I adhered to the tissue paper that is inside the teacup and then added moss to cover the tissue paper.

I punched flowers from the following cardstocks: Yellow and Ivory Mini Dot Reverse and Pink Lemonade and shaped and added a dew drop or sequin to the center of each. I finished off with a little tulle, thread, buttons and more sequins inside of the teacup and around the rim of the cup I added sequin and dew drops.

There you have my take on this challenge and if you have any questions on how I created this project please let me know. Also be sure to check out the other design team members project for inspiration HERE.

Thanks for stopping by, hope your Saturday is awesome and enjoy creating!
