Vintage Autumn Drawer

Hi everyone! I'm here to share a quick project I created for Eileen Hull's August Choose Your Own Theme Art with Heart Challenge. It seems like the last couple of months I have got my project finished only hours from the deadline but I have had my son's wedding which I had to create fans since it was an outside wedding and the usual home stuff, plus starting phase two of remodeling...scraping popcorn off of the ceiling...pray for me ;-D and crafts for other design teams. But hopefully I can get back on track and knock the coming months out in plenty of time. :-)

I used the Eileen Hull's Candy Drawer which I cut from mat board and covered it with the 7 Gypsies Conservatory 6"x6" Paper Pad Collection.

I distressed and inked smaller pieces of the Conservatory Collection and adhered randomly to the drawer. I didn't like the finish of the drawer pull so I painted and applied a coat of Tattered Angels Champagne Glimmer Glaze and let dry before attaching to the drawer.

I added velvet trim and a couple of buttons to the bottom of the box.

A look at the back of the drawer...I tried to use all of the leftover scraps. I love the patchwork effect!

I punched flowers and leaves from 7 Gypsies Venice Collection (discontinue), shaped and then added tulle, twine, thread and dew drops to finish off this drawer. There you have it a vintage drawer with an autumn twist. If you have any questions please let me know.

Thanks for stopping by, hope your day is wonderful and enjoy creating!
